1. Trying to please everyone
In trying to please everyone we often please no one – including ourselves. To be truly positive in the eyes of some, you have to risk appearing negative in the eyes of others.

2. Fearing Change
The only way that we can live, is if we grow and the only way that we can grow is if we change. Life is a series of changes – get used to it. Don’t resist change flow with it.

3. Living in the past
Our mistrust of the future makes it hard to give up the past. Keep your head up, stay positive about what’s to come and live every day as if it’s your last.

4. Putting yourself down
Stop it already. You’re perfect the way you are. The biggest influence in our life, the world of media is built on putting us down – how else could they sell us something we don’t need? The ads say you’re not good enough, pretty enough, rich enough, smart enough. Don’t listen to them, you’re enough. Look in the mirror and say I love myself.

5. Over-Thinking
Always thinking, never being able to turn off your brain is not healthy. Learn to focus your thoughts. Meditation is my favourite tool for this. It’s good to think but it’s easy to over-think. Overthinking often comes at the expense of taking action too – which in itself is much more powerful.
