Bad Service

The restaurants here in Greece always bring you your bill right after you order. The server at the restaurant put seven meals on our bill even though we were only six people. It was clear that he made a mistake on our bill but he kept denying it because he didn’t want to have to bring the meal back to the kitchen. Eventually he talked to the owner and everything was fine.

To the employee the customer is always the problem because the customer never wants what the employee gives at the price that they must pay for it.

The business owner on the otherhand always sees the customer as an opportunity. He knows that each customer is an ever changing set of wants begging to be satisfied.

The owners job is to find out what those wants are and what they will be in the future.
