If you’re self-employed. Meaning you exchange your time for money, then the goal is to be expensive. You can be cheap but that means you have to do more gigs, more appointments, more haircuts or more photoshoots.
Buying expensive isn’t for everyone. To think that you are for everyone can never make you expensive.
Being expensive tells a story. It says I’m special.
But being expensive takes a long-term view. A delay of short-term gratification that not too many people are willing to pass up. To be confident enough in your art to say “no” to those that don’t understand it.
There’s only one of you, so you mine as well be expensive.
