Carol Dweck talks about the growth mindset vs. the fixed mindset.
Someone with a growth mindset believes that being gifted is overrated. That anyone can be good at anything if they practice enough. They believe in improving their flaws as oppose to pretending they don’t have any.
They explore new stuff rather than staying in their bubble. They believe failing is part of trying not something that defines them. They believe that lasting relationships are about growing through changes not assuming it will just happen naturally and finally they believe in focusing on the process not the outcome.
