Mikaila is a 11 year old entrepreneur that has managed to fight off giants like Kraft, Coca-Cola, Pepsi to land shelf space and a million dollar contract with Whole Foods. She created a lemonade company with the purpose of helping save the bees. In an interview she was asked about how she’s beating the competition and she responded “I don’t know? Do they make theirs with love?” The answer is cute but the truth is that there’s a market for companies that give back in this way. Doing good is a competitive advantage to those that care about that. Companies like Toms, Warby Parker, Hand in Hand and Twice as Warm are all examples of companies doing well for themselves by doing good.
