Feeling Scammed

Everyone’s felt scammed at least once. You buy something you’re excited about only to be disappointed by what it really is.

When the price of ads go up the marketers get louder. They make things more flashy, bigger headlines and bigger promises to pull the prospect into the funnel.

The problem with this is that it creates a false expectation between the marketer and the prospect. It breaks trust.

Then when your friend brings up the marketers name you tell them about how you got scammed. Finally both of you never buy from that marketer again.

I’ve learnt that people will forget what you said or what you did, but not how you made them feel.

Good marketing puts trust at its core – finding opportunities to earn it and works to avoid ever breaking it.
