One Pole at a Time

Textile artist Magda Sayeg started an unusual movement called “yarn bombing”. She wanted to change how cold and impersonal the urban environment felt. So she decided to add colourful knit to things like polls and fire hydrants. A funny thing started to happen. People started to take notice and take pictures. People loved how it added a “warm and fuzzy” feeling to the environment.

You may not be into knitting but the same concept applies to getting your work noticed.

Find a problem and try to fix it.
Make it worth talking about.
Make it easy to talk about.
Start small and then grow it.
