I’ve been talking to people lately who have great little businesses but they’re playing it small because they fear putting themselves out there.
If you truly believe in what you do then you will want to bring that benefit to as many people as you can serve.
The biggest fear people have in this world is the fear of what other people think of them.
The oxymoron is that we feel self-conscious when we are not conscious of ourselves at all.
When we aren’t sure who we are and what we stand for, we fall for all sorts of things that push us away from the path we should be on. The path towards playing big and creating big impact.
When you know who you are, you care less about what people think.
For example, if someone makes fun of a strength of yours you don’t care because you’re confident in that part of who you are.
It’s only when someone points out something you didn’t accept that you feel self-conscious. You let it bother you.
That means you must first know who you are. That’s sounds easier than it is because we’re always changing. We can easily be swayed by different ideas.
This is why I wrote Youligion so people can first define who they are and update it as they learn more about themselves. Using it as a guide and a reminder.
When you love yourself you start to resonate with people.
Then finally you need courage.
Courage is interesting. It comes from a Latin root cor, which means “heart.” So to be courageous means to live with the heart.
Courage is risking the known for the unknown, the familiar for the unfamiliar and the comfortable for the uncomfortable.
When you know yourself, love yourself and have the courage to get out there you’ll start playing big.
I hope this helps.
