I get this question a lot and I understand it completely.
Working out is one of those things that feels as though it should get easier and easier over time. And, when it doesn’t, people are often left feeling discouraged and sometimes, they even quit.
Christy asked me recently: “Why don’t workouts ever seem to get easier?”
The short answer is because to get strong, it requires continuous effort day in and day out.
A 5K run becomes easier the more you run it and the same is true with working out. As soon as your workout gets easy, it’s time to add more weight — pushing yourself to that next level.
If you want to get strong and “shape up” you need to embrace the challenge every workout. If it was easy everyone would be doing it.
