When I think back to what was stopping me from stepping outside the box and becoming an entrepreneur, it was because I didn’t think I was worthy. I didn’t think I could do it.
From an early age we are told to fear failure. That the letter F is to be avoided at all cost. Which makes things extremely scary to start.
But along the way, I was lucky enough to meet mentors and read books that changed me. And at one point I built up the courage to tell myself “No, no, I can do this Jean-Luc, I’m better than this.”
I had to stop doubting myself and take charge of my life. I saw people that had done it and I said “I can do that too.” I saw people that hadn’t done it and said “I don’t have to live like that.” And when I stopped beating myself up everything changed.
Self-doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will.
