I live in forrested area and there was a crazy windstorm last night. I was driving home from a friends house and the signs on the street where swaying back and forth and branches where flying onto the road. I kept thinking what if a tree falls on my car? Then I thought about how ridiculous that was to worry about.
If I’m driving through a place where I know there are a lot of deer, I may see it coming and slow down but the trees, there are thousands along the street. If a tree is going to fall on my car, it’s going to fall on my car and there’s nothing I can do about that.
It reminded me of how in our daily life we walk around worrying as if a tree is going to fall on us. We worry about things that are totally out of our control or that will most likely never happen.
I got home safe.
If I only we stopped making pre-mature conclusions life would be way less stressful.
