Students in this study were ask to sit for 6 to 15 minutes in a room by themselves with nothing to do but think. Instead they they focused on external activities and many preferred to administer electric shocks to themselves instead of being left alone with their thoughts. We’re a society that is addicted to distractions and ADHD is a bi-product of it. We need to learn to step away from technology and live with our own thoughts and intuition.
