I just got back from a restaurant in Santorini where I saw the most beautiful sunset I’ve ever seen.
Friends of mine had been there a few days before and liked it so much that they convinced me to go with them again.
At the end of the meal, the owner surprised us with a free plate of fruit. Than five minutes later he surprised us with a free shot of Sambuca.
As I was leaving, a group of people were coming in and I overheard one of the girls talk about how she had also been there a few days before and by the looks of it had convinced the group to come try it.
The element of surprise is great way to turn a customer into a raving fan.
Of course not everyone will care to reciprocate but there’s always a few appreciative ones that seem to bring a crowd.
