I’ve observed that the true artist has no interest in their work after it’s finished. No work of art seems to please the artist because their aim is mastery.
My daughter values what she creates for a day or at maximum a week. A child’s natural sense of possession is weak. They will leave a new bike out in the rain. They will draw a picture and forget about it.
The joy of your art isn’t in the possesion of it but in the act of creating.
