When I played hockey as a kid it was an easy concept to grasp. You were all individual players but you functioned as a unit. Everyone contributed their unique skills for the greater good of the team.
That meant that if someone on your team was tearing you down, they were in fact tearing down the team. But if someone helped build you up they were building up the team.
The concept of a team isn’t limited to sport. You have a team at work. You have a team at home with your partner.
The goal of the unit is to respect each others differences and work on growing stronger together.
