It’s the second time this week that I have a business coaching call and the two people have the same problem. I give them homework to do that will turn into hundreds of thousands of dollars in the end but they just couldn’t get around to doing it.
It’s easy to get caught up in the day to day of the business. To leave your door open for your staff, to let your important clients creep into your time. I get it, I’ve been there but if you want to move forward it’s crucial that you set aside a time everyday without interruptions where you will work on the business. No social media, no cell phones just being the entrepreneurial painter instead of the paint.
That time slot should be your sacred time that no one, no matter what, can infiltrate. You may not fully grasp it but that time slot is worth thousands of dollars. It’s a time where you have to delay short term gratification of making a few bucks in order to grow your future. It’s a time where you sharpen your axe and stop chopping trees with a dull axe.
