I’ve played in many team sports as a kid so it’s hard for me when someone can’t grasp the concept of a team. When I played hockey it was simple. You were all individual players but you functioned as one unit. Everyone contributed their unique skills for the greater good of the team.
But the concept of a team isn’t limited to sport. We have a team at home with the family and we have a team at work.
The goal of the team is not to outshine the others but to respect each others differences and work on growing stronger as a single unit.
That means that if you and I are on the same team, you are me and I am you.
That means that if I am tearing you down, I’m in fact tearing myself down.
And if I help build you up, who am I building up?
That’s what a strong team is all about.
